Pamela Gilmour, CEO of Financial Fitness, has 27 years of financial planning experience
She believes that her clients deserve the education and transparency they want in order to make sound financial decisions. Her planning is holistic, whether the client is still working and accumulating wealth or on the verge of retirement when wealth will be spent. She thinks its critical to stay on top of her game and her many designations (CPA*, CFP®, RICP ® CLU®, ChFC®) set her apart from her peers. Creating long-term focused relationships with her clients is critical. Her high income clients look to her for tax strategies years in advance of when the taxes are due.
Pamela gives back to charities and others in the financial services industry. She started a local chapter of Women in Insurance and Financial Services in 2009 whose purpose is to support women in financial services and show them how to grow their businesses. Her leadership, expertise and support to her chapter has resulted in a membership of 60 women. While on the National WIFS Board she grew the membership to over 1000 members and helped start up several new chapters.
In 2015 she was elected to the local Alzheimer’s Association Board. This is a cause very close to her heart. In the past she has combined her athletic and fundraising abilities by running ½ marathons, which has resulted in over $32,000 of contributions. She recently put together a fundraising event for The Longest Day, where donors made contributions and got to work out with top personal trainers.
When Pamela is not at work or volunteering she likes to relax with her fiancé, Gary and Talbots, their Great Dane/Pointer rescue. She doesn’t sit for long as she is either running, golfing, skiing, doing yoga, or working out with her trainer.
